KEN BURK
Chief Executive Officer
Ken has over 25 years of experience leading engineering and construction businesses as a CEO and CFO. In addition to his construction background, Ken was CEO of Union Switch & Signal, a global transportation signaling and train control business. He is a graduate of Troy University and has an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Thomas Rauch
Chief Operating Officer
Tom Rauch is the Chief Operating Officer of McCarl’s, supporting both the Industrial Services and Technical Services business units of the company. Tom holds a BS in Mining Engineering (focused in Mineral Processing) and a second BS in Energy Business and Finance (focused in Commodity Finance), both from Penn State, and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Joining McCarl's in 2020, Tom held successive roles as Director of Technical Services and President of Technical Services before becoming COO in 2026. Prior to joining McCarl’s, Tom worked in engineering, project, and finance positions for Black Mountain, Kappes Cassiday & Associates, Jacobs, and Taggart Global. Tom’s career has focused on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, & Construction) project delivery in the mining, metals, and chemical sectors, taking projects from engineering through construction, startup, and performance guarantee. Finally, Tom is proud to have served the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration Foundation (SMEF) as President 2023-2025.
Luke Miller
Industrial Services President
Luke joined McCarl’s in 2023 from Matrix Service Company where he served as Director, managing engineering and construction projects during his eight years with the company. Prior to his time at Matrix, Luke held various leadership and support roles at Westinghouse Electric Company, Turner Construction Company and Walter P. Moore & Associates. Luke’s project experience ranges from small maintenance and tenant building fit-out programs to multi-billion-dollar EPC projects. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Duquesne University, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. Luke is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in 10 states and carries a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Chris Heinrichs
President Technical Services
Chris joined McCarl's Technical services in 2026. Chris' career has been dedicated to engineering and technical services for heavy industrial EPC projects in the Conventional and Nuclear Power, midstream / downstream Oil & Gas, Utility, Petro-chem, Chemical, Industrial Gases, Manufacturing, and Metals sectors. He has held Director-level roles in Technical Services; Construction, Supplier, and Engineering Quality; and Integrated Management Systems. He was Chief Electrical and I&C engineer, and has held various management and contributor roles in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems engineering. Prior to joining McCarl's, Chris has worked for Matrix Service Company, River Consulting, Westinghouse, and several OEMs and Systems Integrators. Chris holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Chris is a registered Professional Engineer, an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, and has held the Project Management Professional certification.
FRANCISCO GOMEZ
Senior Vice President and Chief Performance Officer
Leading our safety and talent development, Francisco has over 20 years of experience guiding performance improvement and culture initiatives across industries and continents. He has partnered with Fortune 500 companies in high-hazard sectors, including construction, energy, defense, manufacturing, and mining, to drive gains in safety, quality, and productivity. Francisco holds a Master of Science in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas and has served on boards in both industrial and nonprofit sectors.
